Andrew and I spent a very cold but christmasy weekend in New York City. It was his birthday last week and thought it would be fun to have a little get away to celebrate. We did the usual touristy stuff like visiting Time Square and Rockefeller center but it was SOOO packed. So packed that it was hard to even walk. So sorry, no pictures from there. However, on our way to dinner we walked past Bryant Park. The Christmas Market caught my eye but it was the ice skating rink that I wanted to photograph. There was this cute couple with the guy helping his girl ice skate. It made for a sweet moment on the ice.

Cold morning by the tidal basin. We’ve been getting a lot of these cloudless days in DC. Kinda boring so I tried to fill the skies with the branches.

As I was taking this picture, I thought to myself how crazy it is that there are such quiet places like this so close to DC.

Like it’s name, sunset point is a great place to photograph the sun going down. It was definitely cold.

Just another sunrise in Zion National Park. I turned around as I was taking pictures of the Tower of Virgins and noticed the beautiful light being cast upon these rocks. The whole thing wasn’t so lively so decided to just shoot the tippity top.

I usually try to keep people out of my shots. I don’t know why. It’s just some silly rule I came up with all on my own a while ago. So lately, I’ve been trying to see how they can add to my image. I love this because it shows how grand and large these trees are.
