Another beautiful summer night in DC. I parked where I usually park for the Tidal Basin but walked in a different direction. I’ve decided that the Tidal Basin is one of my favorite spots for pictures. The 360 views are unstoppable.

So heres the thing, even if you think that you’re going to get a beautiful sunset/sunrise, it doesn’t always happen. But even if you do get the gorgeous colors in the sky, sometimes you just can’t get the composition right. Or you left your camera battery at home. Or a person gets in your shot. You just gotta roll with the punches and you can’t get upset about it. You’re not always going to get the best picture every time you go out. You’re going to get what was meant to be. And sometimes that’s poo. But you just gotta keep on going. Gotta keep on trying and stay persistent.
This is the pep talk I like to give myself when I’ve been out 4 times this week and still haven’t gotten anything I’m totally satisfied with.

Even though I’m not done going through all my Europe images, I’m still out taking pictures. I can’t help it! I can’t leave my camera alone for more than a few days.
This was taken last week as a storm was approaching. Luckily, I didn’t get caught in the rain this time.

We spent our last sunset in Europe at the Piazza Michelangelo. Thankfully we took a cab up there because I don’t think we would of found it just by map. Plus the steps to this piazza was pretty crazy. Coming down was fun and a little sad all at the same time.
Spent a few days in Camano Island while visiting Washington State. It’s a beautiful little island right off the coast. This was taken during a break in the rain.

You never know what you’re going to see when you’re walking in the city. Last night Andrew and I were walking and ran into 20 couples dancing and enjoying their night in Freedom Plaza. It was so nice to just sit and appreciate.
