Lincoln Memorial
It’s been really cloudy here in DC. We’re getting beautiful winter weather in the form of rain, freezing rain, and snow 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be able to go out and take some pics once it stops.
This morning from the steps of the Lincoln memorial, right where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I had a dream” speech.
I’m trying to work on my panoramics so this shot is actually 18 images into one huge picture.
The Iwo Jima memorial has an amazing view of the Lincoln, Monument, and Capitol building all lined up. Does anyone else know where I can find another view like this? I think the trees are a bit distracting but otherwise love it!
One of my favorite memorials got vandalized over the weekend. Someone threw green paint on honest Abe and to be honest, I have no idea why anyone would do that. I hope it doesn’t cause any serious damage to the statue.
These are those type of shots that you have to be extremely patient. Especially since this was taken during sunset and there were so many tourist groups around. I probably waited to get this shot for at least 10 minutes.
