Finally! The cherry blossom are here! All the weather people and NPS predicted it was going to be this past weekend, but I think the weather was a little too cold for the flowers. We finally had a warm day yesterday and all of the sudden, this morning at the tidal basin looked totally different. I know it’s just the beginning of the bloom but it’s still really exciting. You know where I’ll be all week!

Feeling kind of sick lately so I’ve been going to the archives to find images to process. Now, back to bed.
Something happened over the weekend. I don’t know what it was, but there were these amazing sunrises and sunsets everyday. Too bad, I wasn’t able to capture them all but I tried my best. Here’s one shot from the Iwo Jima memorial in Arlington, VA
I love taking images of the sky when it’s super cloudy. It brings a new life to the monuments, especially when they are seen all the time. This one makes the Capitol seem so small.

This morning at the Capitol was crazy foggy! When I first got there around 6:45, I could barely see anything. Luckily, as the sun rose, the capitol building started showing up more and more. I love the little ball of light peaking through the clouds.
