Of course, you can’t forget the cypress trees in First Landing State Park. I’ve never seen anything like them before and take my breath away when I see them. When the right lighting hits them, they are AMAZING!

A beautiful sunset on my last night in First Landing State Park, right at the bay.
Last week I spent a few days in False Landing State Park. If you don’t know where that is, it’s right in the middle of VA Beach. I had a great time photographing the park and it even rained a little while I was there so I could get some beautiful sunrise/sunset shots. Here’s one of the sand dunes by the bay.

Up on top of the Blue Ridge Mountains is an amazing view. It had been raining earlier in the day which created some beautiful clouds.

Over the weekend I went Apple picking! We tried to go to the same spot we went to for peach picking, but it was closed this time 🙁 Further down the street we found this little orchid and decided to give it a try.
