For some reason, I thought there would be more color at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens than there would be anywhere else around this area. Like the fall colors totally skipped everywhere else except for this little part of Vienna, VA where mother nature has blessed the trees there. LOL I don’t know what I was thinking. Anywheres, heres an image of what it was like when the trees were ABOUT to change colors but they’re still very green.

Another amazingly beautiful trip to Great Falls park. I used my ND Filter to get this effect but was more amazed that the a7ii was able to auto focus with the filter on it. Now all we need are comfortable seat cushions for extended exposure times while sitting on rocks 🙂 K thx!

Lake Anna wasn’t all just water sports, I went shooting too! We’re super lucky that we stayed at this great rental property that overlooked Lake Anna. I naturally wake up early. I’m not sure if it’s from all the sunrises that I wake up for or waking up to feed Frankie, my internal clock is just used to it now. So I saw the gorgeous sky and had to go out with my camera.

This almost didn’t happen. My original intention was to take pictures of the Air Force Memorial, but I couldn’t find parking. So I decided to skip it and go home. As I was driving home, I noticed the colors in the sky started changing and I was closer to Iwo Jima than I was anything else. So I turned around again and went to the Marine Corp Memorial. Glad I did. And I’m glad that the clouds lined up perfectly to make it look like it was exploding out of the memorial.
